As a very poor Bounty Hunter (only 3 Jedi kills ever). I thought I would try to decrease my loss rate by getting ls resist PSG's. I understand I need to buy them by the crate. However, will it state on the crate that they have LS resists specifically? Or will that only appear when I remove it from the crate (I don't want to buy a crate and find out it doesn't work on that particular crate). Thanks for your answers.

It will actuall jump around everytime you ride a shuttle. There are multiple solutions tothis. When you get one with LS resist, everytime you ride a shuttle, store it in one of your droids. It will keep all its same resists that way.

Otherwise, carry a bunch of them and equip the one with the LS reisit everytimeyou get off the shuttle.

Thanks for the answer, but I think I didn't ask my question very well. When I examine the crate on the vendor will Lightsaber resists be specifcally mentioned or will that only occur when I pull it from the crate? In other words, should I shop for PSG's that specifically state they have LS resistances?

You need to buy the ones that say LS resist on them. Just to be on the safe side. You will see it on there.

PSG will have LS resist when you pull them out of a crate even when they don't show. Something I noticed when I was slicing them. Be aware that LS can be taken away from the PSG at any time as this is a bug.

PSG crate (LS listed as vulnerability) --> pull item --> LS becomes base protection

PSG crate (LS listed as protection) --> pull item --> LS becomes vulnerability

The LS protection duration is somewhat random. It could disappear on the next shuttle hop, or last until the next server reset.

While I've not tested it myself, I've been told that the protection works, and is shown in the combat log.

-Not always the case. I have some on my vendor presently, made from the same schematic. Some showing LS as a vuln, some with LS in the base protection. The ones I have usedcome with LS resists when removed from the crate.

-I have experienced this as well. I have even crashed to desktop to relog and still have the LS resist on the PSG still.

-The PSG's do protect against LS but I do not think it stops a true 48% (base protection stat on psg's I use) due to the fact LS are Medium armor piercing.

-I've had that happen as well: 1 schematic produces different crates with LS as vuln or base. I've still found however, that what I wrote above is the current behavior.
