okay really simply put

you have say 80Kinetic/79elect/70Base Composite...

this means ur Kinetic Special Resistance total for all over ur layers is 10 (Kinetic - Base=3Layers)

So this means u reall need4 Kinetic on each layer which with my Resources is easily the starting point for Kinetic..so basicly you end up not experimenting on this.

Base is the main thing..if that base falls ur Kinetic will fall..granted with 4Kineticx3layers u really have 12Kinetic so u have a 2point margin of error.. but still

You need max out ur Base...full bar which will end up getting u somthing like 4.5 or thereabouts. it says 4% but when added to the segment the decimals are counted..you'll need to get the base on the segment up to 35% for 70%Base armor..

Resources are the only thing standing in ur way.....

As for a guide...www.swgcraft.com in the Armorsmith Forums has a decent Layerology Guide

And if you want to try some things out without wasting resources, check out Virtual Armorsmith 1.2

I make 70% Base with 34% segments and 71% Base with 35% segments...

Heya all.. My gf has recently hit master armorsmith, but, she's a bit frustrated. She isn't sure if she's making descent layers or not yet.

I was wondering if anyone has a guide or a link to a guide that, gives information about what the average %'s you should get from experimentation?

What I mean is, is a kinetic layerwith a base kinetic resistance of 11% average? cruddy?

I can understand why she's frustrated,I'm not too into crafting but I don't see how anyone can figure out if there getting better when you get such differing results so easily. =)

Thank you! =)

Yeah and I suppose it also depends on you resources on the actual pieces. I can use a 35% segment and get only 70% base unless I use a wooly hide with better stats. (Which I do)
