Thread: Quick AS question...
Personal armor tree allows you to make different types of armor. The tech tree gives you the ability to experiment more.
If you want to actually make something half decent before you reach master, go up the tech tree first. So you can experiment on stuff.
If you're just going to grind your way to master, do personal armor. So you can make stuff that generates more exp.
For grinding, see the post regarding holo grinders. It's "stickied" at the top.
Go up to PA1 to make Chitin armor.
Then you can mess around with that for a while to truly understand the armorcrafting trade, then spend the rest of your points after that on techniques to get the experimentation points.
Grind up slowly to learn how materials and loot drops interact with your product and you should be good to go. Oh yeah....have fun first.
I personally would suggest making AUK's and go up personal armor to ubese. I did the mabari chestpieces and the resource cost was way to high for a solo smith.
If you want to make money, once you get ubese, go up technique all the way(by grinding ubese shirts). Then get the resources for adv chitin (dant bone, doonium or Kammrisiron if I recall) and use your experiment points to up the kinetic. With great resources, you can get close to 60%, with average mid 40% kinetic. Sell on the bazzar, go lower than any other armor on there, and sell in theed or coronet.
If you just want to grind all the way to master, ubese shirts. Just go up PSG tree last, those are a PAIN to make.
