Here is the proposed "19 Questions" question for this week. Please comment on it. I will be forwarding it to TH sometime later today.

Even though the Giant Dune Kimogila is the hardest and rarest of all the creatures that drop RIS components, its drop rate is by far the lowest. Is it possible to raise the drop rate for the Giant Dune Kimogilascale to be commensurate with the other RIS components?

I play on naritus as a master armor smith and in my opinion we have a fairly stable economy if not the stablest of all servers, yet the other day a GDK scale sold for 9 million on the trade forums. Now I am not saying that it is easy to get any of the other components, it has taken as much as 2 days just to get a woolmander bone frag, but if the drop rate on the GDK scale could in fact be brought into line with the harrowers or the gurk king the RIS armor would still stay rare due to the difficulty in killing a GDK yet it would at least be reasonable to try to complete the quest to make it.

I agree with anyone who wants to have the drop rate modified.

Even though I've had great luck with GDK's (32 kills, 3 scales looted) I feel for the folks that have had long stretches of nothing, and understand that I too could have my luck run out and be stuck killing 50+ GDK's with no loot.

With Mandolorian coming in, we'll have yet another ultra-rare armor type. I think loosening the belt up on the GDK drops would be a good thing, and fully support this as our next "19 questions" submission.

Sounds like a great question.

I thought for awhile that the rarity of RIS wascool. I started the quest with the goal of making 1 helm for decoration. After about 3 months I have camped the Temple, killed a good share of gurks and traded for a feather. All my named resources are collected. My segment and layer have been turned in to the dude on dant. Two weeks ago the second GDK scale I've seen on the trade boards in those 3 months was sold for 10 mil. The scale is just simply too rare, and anyone who gets one would surely rather have the scalethan the creds. RIS will still only be available for the power-gamers (which is fine with me) because it still takes a lot of effort to camp the Temple and kill a zillion gurks.

The RIS quest is cool, but, boy it would be even cooler to see a few people here and there in full suits of RIS. Right now there are NO players anywhere in their right mind that would take this armor anywhere near battle. One question: Isn't that what armor is for?

Sounds like a very reasonable question. Go for it.

Jaato,

May I suggest a small rephrasing?

Even though the Giant Dune Kimogila is the hardest and rarest of all the creatures that drop RIS components, its drop rate is by far the lowest. When will the drop rate for the Giant Dune Kimogila scale be raisedto be commensurate with the other RIS components?

I'd say force their hand on an answer. "Is it possible" just begs for one of TH's typicalnon-responsive responses.

I also agree with the rephrasing, although I dont think it should be too easy, like those blasted Peko Peko Albatrosses, I have 10 feathers or so in tha bank and nothing else. I need some of the other resources.

I can't really think of anything better. I can't help thinking we won't get a very satisfactory answer out of this though.

I agree with increasing the drop rate on kimos.

Can we also request slighty more frequent spawns of the heavily camped woolamander and gurk kings. I don't want to sit around for an hour just to see some TKM outdamage me again and again for days on end.

By all means looting the fragments or hides is not guaranteed, but after much hunting I seem to have a small pile of these components where as I all but stopped trying for the kimo scale. The overall ratio of loot/kill is much higher for the other RIS components, in addtion it takesalot less time and work to kill the other creatures. So if a few minutes are spent running through the woolamander palace or taking out a few gurks, if there is no loot, theres a pretty good chance next time through you'll get something. (from my expierence anyways, I've had fairly good luck with these two and have a growing collection of their loot. However I'vestillyet to loot a scale or even find that albatross which i'm convinced is hiding from me).
