I've been playing this game for about a month now, and have a 0/4/4/4 BH. when I started my account, a friend of mine, an armorsmith gave me a PSG, and some descent Chitin armor to give me a good start.. I've kept the PSG equiped the entire time I've had it... about 4 weeks total, and have played atleast 8 hours just about every day since then.
In the descriptions I've read on how the PSG is supposed to work, I get the idea that they are supposed to wear out very quickly, absorbing damage and getting toasted pretty fast. But in the past few weeks, I've gone thru pretty much that entire set of armor, and replaced every piece with advanced composite with about 80/80/69 resists, and am about halfway thru the condition on the new armor as well.

My PSG is still at 926/950 condition.... same one I've had from the on-set of grinding and being shot up a good deal.

is this thing even working? are they bugged currently? what gives?
Sorry guys if this is in the wrong area. If you know of another thread already posted on this issue please link a url for me so I can get more information.

There are still some bugs with psgs, often you need to unequip/reequip it before a fight for it to work.
Just check you combat log, it will say if any damages is absorbed by the psg.

Good to know! Surprised no one mentioned this to me in game... I'll give it a go... anything to add a bit more resistance/make that expensive armor last a bit longer. Good work around... Now I may actually buy a few of them, as well as some of the stun versions!

The resists on PSG shift when you enter and leave boundries i always though that they were suppose to have no vulnerabilities like tantel for example but i have been told they are not, so if you buy a psg which has no vulnerabilities the next time you log in or the next planet you fly too you might notice that the vulnerabilities have shifted...It would be very expensive to wear psg's all the time for my own use i use them if i am almost dead for a little more protection i hot key a few for extra protection or i use then for pvp otherwise they are just to expensive to use for normal hunting purposes.

The stat shifting bug has been fixed hasn't hit? Still you often need requip them.
