Thread: Question from a very confused Armorsmith

ok, I've been hearing some rumors of people saying that PSG's, Mandolorian, Bounty Hunter, and R.I.S. armor is going to be the only armor items that will be resistent to lightsabers... why the Devs. would do this is beyond me, I will brake it down here...
PSG's- they have an AP0 Rating no armor protection, and a Lightsaber has a AP2 rating, so that makes PSG's uselesssince Lightsabers will slice right through them...
Bounty Hunter Armor- This makes sense as Bounty hunters will be the primary people heading out to hunt Jedi. What is confusing to me however, is that when we see the stats dropping on BH armor, it is pathetic, the base is about what a halfway decent suit of mabari armor is (13%) why would they have that little of a protection against it, it almost makes it look useless...
Mandalorian & R.I.S.-- These two suits are almost impossible to make, I've heard of less than 10 RIS suits being made in the last 6 months because of the rediculous GDK drop rates, and also the DWB dungeon is almost impossible to complete as you cannot rebuff inside and as we have seen only a helmet has been made on TC not even a full suit...
so there is obviously something I am not seeing here, because if we are going to be having hundereds of jedi running all around the place, there should at least be some type of common armor that can defend against lightsabers such as a Lightsaber layer...

sorry forgot that, my question is that if devs are just going to have these 4 types of armor as the only armor able to resist lightsaber attacks, because it seams that it will be next to impossible to obtain 3 of those types (with psg's being the only type actually able to be massed produced)....

if the question is if there are going to more LS resistant stuff.....they havent said

They've said they plan to make a lightsaber layer. However this layer will require a crystal, and the stats will be based on the crystal. That way, the already expensive crystals will skyrocket in price as those who want to use themto craft lightsabers will need to bid against those who want to use them to prevent damage from those very same lightsabers!
