OK, so my guild was short an armorsmith so I stepped up to the plate with my alt. I bought all the resources that I would need for the grind up front so I didn't have to worry about it later.
Anyways, I got to Personal Armor 3, and started crafting Ubese shirts. About 5 shirts in, I realized that I was not getting Armor Crafting xp. So, I stopped using my macro and tried one manually, it worked fine. Now, I'm totally confused because there was no change in my macro, which was working perfectly fine before.
This afternoon, I checked the Armorsmith forums to see if anybody else had asked the question recently. Turns out someone had asked another question about the Ubese shirts so I checked out the thread and low and behold, someone had suggested adding in another /nextCraftingStage; to the macro. So, now that I'm all excited because I've found a fix to my problem, I go test it out and it works! HURRAY!
So, if you're at Personal Armor 3 and you're grinding Ubese Shirts and can't figure out why you aren't getting the xp, add in another /nextCraftingStage; and you should be good to go
Just thought I'd post this to stop people asking this question for the next day or so before it gets bumped off the top page.

normal crafting macros dont work on ubese shirts because they require a crafting station which adds a crafting stage.
Add a /next crafting stage to each step of the macro and try it.

That's the short version of what I explained in my post
