I'd be curious to know if any other FarStarians have managed to get RIS upto these stats.
I know I can reduce the enc a lot more, but hey! This isn't bad eh???
Nice RIS Piece
I used an interwoven schematic, 1 Yellow Geo Cube (+10% base) A Sister layer (+4% Base) in one of the layer slots, my normal 13% kenetic layers and a Rancor hide as an Enhancer (4% Base) I could've used my Janta hides but wasn't sure of the outcome! Thanks for viewing!

Wow with a 10% Yellow Cube you could have used NS Shards and still easily hit 80/80

ya, with 10% yellow cubes, you probably could have used 3 stun layers and still hit 80% base. kinetic might have ended up a little low, but it would still make for a real nice pvp helm.

RIS will never be a PVP armor due to the acid hole.... Every ranged profession has access to Acid I bellive...

sure, but noone actually uses acid weapons in pvp. granted if everyone started running around with RIS, they might start, but since it is rare for the most part, people aren't going to switch to an acid weapon in group pvp to take out the 1 person who is wearing RIS because it will do almost no damage to anyone with a decent set of composite. in a 1v1 duel, it might be beneficial if you know the person has an acid vulnerability, but in just about every other pvp scenario, people are going to stick to their jawa rifles and geo blasters.

I'd never recommend RIS for PVP, there are too many greifers out there who would triple incap just so they can take a bit more condition off your armor.
FarStar isn't always a nice place

wanna bet every rifleman i know uses our acid wep its the only way that i can hit a defense stacker and we can get these bad boys up to 600+ with relative ease. Well i gues we can use a crazy tusken that has like 300+ accuracy which i have seen done.

It's nice. I think a Janta Hide would of been better, and I would of either used a normal layer or waited for a better NS Layer, as a 10% Cube is something I wouldn't often see. But on the whole, it's a very nice piece, good job.

Actually, a huge proportion of PvPers are riflemen, and have access to the Tenloss Rifle. In PvP a lot of players use Imperial PSGs to raise Stun and Energy resists - these have an acid vulnerability. So more riflemen than you might think probably have an acid rifle tucked away just in case.
