I cant work a template out for myself, i have politician and cannot get rid of this. I have AS but would like to do another crafting profession aswell with the rest of my skill points. doing another crafting profession means i cant become merchant for vendors....anyone no how i can work around this?

my template must include master politician/ master AS. is there any crafting professions that i dont have to master but still compete with players that are master?

Suggestions are appretiated

Thanks

Howdy Apeg.

Have you gone to the character builder on yogn.net? a very helpful tool.. the only prof I can think of that might fit the bill is the furniture line of Architect... not exactly the most lucrative, but interesting nonetheless.

A character builder is the way to go, and the above-mentioned is one of the better ones. Here's a link for the lazy.

On the particular question you asked, the short answer is no. You can't be a Master Politician, Master Merchant, and more than one Master in a crafting profession (even if up the same artisan tree). What you could do, as long as the second crafting profession is in the same tree (ie, Tailor/Chef or AS/WS/DE/Arch), is dump the Merchant profession and keep your merchant skills up to Business IV in the Artisan tree. That should leave you with the ability to place vendors and 4 skill points to spare.

Good luck,

yes but the amount of stuff you can put on a vendor at Business IV is very limited.
The 250 items given there is only 25 suits of armor with a couple of singles on the side :-(

Novice Merchant gives a limit of 750 items which is nice but with just a bit of success you dont want to stock your vendors all the time.
Id clearly recommend gettting atleast mangement 1 so you will hit the 1250 4 Vendor stage.
Also planetary add campaign on Adv. III is a must as you really need to be on the map :-)

Maybe this template
Master Pol/AS
Merchant 3002
Architect 4410

That will make you able to do furniture city supplies(good for a mayor ;-) and factories
You will need to buy some of your subcomps or get schems made though (Power chores and storage modules)
You will have an item limit of 1750 enough for some armor and some furniture

If you're only going to partially go up a crafting tree, Architect is definitely the most forgiving. However, with my suggestion you can master two crafting profession and still have a vendor.

Both templates work, it's just a matter of which works best for you. Being able to stock 250 master-level items, or 1250 furniture/factories? Choice is yours.

problem is that things in bags also count against your vendor limit so when youve stocked you 25 suits of armor you wont have room for anymore.
any AS that is the least bit succesful will be stocking vendors all the time with kind of limit..

As I said before, both ways do work. It's just a matter of preference.

25 master-level armor suits x 200k = 5 million
250 master-level weapons x 20k = 5 million
1250 master-level furniture x 4k = 5 million

Just some basic math, without taking under account that 250 armor and weapons would fly off the vendors a lot sooner than 1250 furniture. Like I said, both ways work.
