hi, padded armor segments take two optionarmor Layers - can i put two different ns layers in there? like one -12/-21/-23 and -34/-42/-23 (or 15% -12 action) etc
also i want to make a padded armor chest plate! would i need 4 identical acklays or would i need 5 acksbecos ofthe schematic? i sadly only have 4 of them with 44% energy, so wot could i use them for? belts?

sounds liek you're trying to use shards ... you can use one shard.. which falls under the enhancement category.... but if you do have a 15% NS layer yes you can use that.... so if you have a set of 5 15% layers and 5 8% layers you can put those in the layer spot... then if you have a set of 5 shards you can put those in...
and to asnwer your last set of questions.. yes you need 5... with4 you can make pants or a helm

NS shards are the ones that lower all encumbrence (the -12/-21/-23 things), they go in the enhancement slot, of which all armor has one of.
Belts, while having stats, don't in my experience actually do anything.
When you make a schmatic using serialed componants such as layers, one completed item is sacrificed for the schmatic, so if you had a set of 4 layers, you could make a schamtic for 3 of the segment. With 3 segments you could make a helm or leggings.
