yeah as a ten pointer i usually make either 80 kinetic/ 60 base w medium HAM or 80 kinetic/68 base heavy HAM, butwhen these are sliced for effectiveness, they sell the best

Yah..good thing is i'm a smuggler as well so, I can just make a ton of em and start slicing away.

I used to always want encumb slices, never got em. Now I want eff slices and I hardly ever get them.. argh!

If any armorsmith on Bria knows a good vendor with high qulaity resources, please drop me a line.

Thanks again guys!

It seems to be all in the resources.

I've made 80% energy, 80% electric, 61% base suits and I only have 10 points.

I don't make anything that doesn't have an 80% special. (except Stun..that caps at 36% for me)

Resources, Resources, and Resources.

The only thing people ever ask me for are 80% kinetic with high base. Ok, with the resources I have now, I hit maybe 74% kinetic with an ok base. But they weigh so much, it's almost worthless. So I put points into that, then I don't even get into the 70s on Kinetic.

In all honesty if a suit has higher protection I am going to purchase (and craft) it, the high encumberence can easily be overcome with doc buffs and brandy and the added protection more than makes up for it. While I would not complain about having lower encumberance on my 80% kinetic, 79% electric 69% base unsliced composite, I would never sacrifice the base protection for encumberance at this stage in the crafting system.

A large percentage of customers look only at the protection because of they know that they never fight unless buffed. Unless they change things so that encumberance means something, even when buffed, it is not worth the effort to focus on it when you can focus on protection.

Just to reiterate, it is ALL about the resources... I am a 10 point armorsmith on radiant and I am making 80% Kinetic, 80% Electric with 68% base resists... now these suits are fairly heavy at 856/782/881 HAM cost...

but I also am making 78% Kinetic, 72% Electric, 64% Base with 685/614/708 HAM... A little better than the Ham on my other suits...

Essentially with the resources I have, I don't think I can get these stats up any higher than they are... so all the extra 2 points would do for me is lower the HAM costs considerably...

Also I wouldn't expect any armorsmiths to be pointing out there hotspots for picking up resources... I suggest you just take some cash and go shopping... You never know what yer gonna find

Mainly, I just wanted to know if there was any chance for a master armorsmith that maybe takes a shot of bespin port and has a skill tape giving +1 to armor crafting, to ever be able to make the armor that everyone wants.

The only thing people ever ask me for are 80% kinetic with high base. Ok, with the resources I have now, I hit maybe 74% kinetic with an ok base. But they weigh so much, it's almost worthless. So I put points into that, then I don't even get into the 70s on Kinetic.

Is it just a case of quality of resources or is it just not possible for a 10 point armorsmith to hit 80% kin and 50-60% or higher base?

Thanks in advance guys.

It dependsmostly on the resource spawns..I only have 10 points but I can hit 80% / 64% .. sometimes 65%. And that's with some fairly low-quality kiirium steel.

Ok, is that regular composite or advanced? I've been master for almost 2 weeks now and i'm trying to figure this stuff out. I like how the crafting in this game actually takes a little thought.

Looks like tonights a good night to hunt down some good resources...
