Are these broken?

I cant get them to work in any layers or armor. I did try armor first as it says its to be used as a Padded armor segment. I tried Padded armor at first as well. no luck. I am just curious cause I do have several and have people anting me to make armor with them in it.

Yup, they are broken and have been for a while now.

they work great in Bone armor though

seriously.

might as well at this point since ive never seen any armorsmith issues even acknowledged by the devs, so might as well use em broke.

Hi

I have a cargo pocket filled up with rancor padded segments. Last time I ask to my favourite AS, they were useless. This segments are working now?

According to recent patch notes, these are indeed now usable. I haven't tried them myself yet though.

i managed to make a 50%base padded chest plate yesterday with a set of good segments i had

i got to 50% eff with some 25% base ones with half decent resouces

You'll want to check their base % before getting excited. Personally, I dont use any Rancor Segments unless their base is at least 20%. The common drop for these is 12% base, which when combined with their HAM costs, are worthless.
