Thread: Petition on the subject of Questable armors

I would like to petition that the special armor quests (like for the Marauder armor) be repeatable. With people only being able to acquire a single set of these it makes wearing them prohibitive for anything but show (what with the limited ability to repair such items) Now I realize that marauder armor is not a favorite example seeing as it's not given as a schematic (which tends to make me feel the armor itself ought to be added to armorsmith as a normal armor type) but the situation ought to apply to most quests (RIS, jabbas etc...)

Not in favor of it for the reasons hopnasty stated. If you want questable armor over and over it should be the components that are looted and the AS does the final assembly. Like RIS, only make something that is a little easier to get.

There more meaningful kinds of loot in the game the more players you will have. Thus the more people who will eventually want something special which means more customers for Armorsmiths over the long run.

That's essentially what I am gunning for here, I just want to be able to get the Marauder armor because it is, quite simply, the coolest getup I have seen in the game. Now, if you want to go do the missions for me and 'give' me your set for free, that's cool too

you think that marauder armor is a cool getup, you must have absolutely no fashion sense whatsoever, aside from being a pretty low quality armor in the first place, but it is very ugly, even the rebel marine armor looks better than in, and we all know that marine armor looks very gay (although I think the helmet is kinda cool). If you want some armor to just look cool I'd suggest you go with some kind of a armor and clothing mix to find something that looks good, and make sure it looks like something soneone would wear, every time i see someone running around naked on Tat I want to strangle them. But as for the actuall subject of this post, I'd say get rid of the marauder armor altogether, there is better armor you can get.

dcl, you apparently don't understand why there are various armors in the game. If we followed your logic the only existing armor would be Composite. (sliced for encumberance by Smugglers of course) The Marauder armor has style, and it is unfortunately only possible to get by doing a one-time quest (as of this point) I am only asking that it be repeatable, the danger level is significant enough that it wouldn't be too big a deal and unless there are plans to make it loot droppable off of marauders or to give Armorsmiths the ability to 'forge' it, I can't see the harm in allowing it.
