I'm trying my hand for the first time on some ubese armor. I want good kinetic res. so I was going to use the same kinetic layers as I use in my composite.
They have a base of 4%. Health encumb. of 10%, action 10% and mind 10% with a kinetic effectivness of 5%. When I make my adv. composite seg. I experiment the Quality all the way out and the rest in Durability to bring down the HAM. When I make a peice of composite armor I experiment the quality all the way out and put the rest in Resistance to bring up the Integrity (I could put it in Durability and bring the HAM down 1 or 2 points). The composite, with the quality of the meterials I'm using come out with 80% kinetic 76-78% electirc and a base of 67%. Is this the same method I should use when making the ubese adv. seg. and the actual armor itself? Any help would be appreaciated. Thx

Ubese seems to mostly be a hunting suit used primarily for it's lower encumbrance and kinetic resists. What you want to do for the layers for ubese is get the kinetic (special protection) maxed out and put the rest into durability to bring down the ham. Layers should end up between 12-14% for the final piece to come out with good kinetic resists. Experimenting on base effectiveness is a waste of points seeing how most will get composite if they want that kind of protection. When doing the segments follow the same procedure and if you have decent enough resources you should be able to hit 70% kinetic with lower ham then probably an unlayered composite suit. Good luck.
