Yes, it is "Bounty Hunter Armor".

You need to loot an entire set of this armor in order to create "Mandalorian Armor".

That's from the Lowca server. I recognize the player name and also the name of the other armor in his inventory

How common are the loot drops? It's looking like anyone that wants PvE armor with great stats and encumb, and doesn't want to bother with an armorsmith, can go loot some....

Seems pretty common. I know a few people who already have full sets of BH armor and the one and only Darksun npc I ran across dropped a piece of armor. Also, one of the people with the full set of BH armor already has the two of the 3 materials that are needed for mandalorian.

Looks like mandalorian armor isn't going to be too uncommon of a thing.

Not too uncommon? Have you heard what you have to do? Not one group has succesfully made any Mandalorian on TC and that was with a group of 12-15 elite players trying... By what I have heard it is damn near impossible to make it down to the crafting rooms in order to make the Mando. In fact no one knows the exact way yet...unless I have missed some posts on the TC forums.

Comparing TC to the live servers isn't exactly a very good comparison (nothing against the TC players). Generally you will find people with better equipment, and more importantly more people working on cracking the problem of getting down there. Factor in this isn't an instanced dungeon allowing for whole guildsto godown there and the way tactics are shared on beating places like this...I wouldn't be surprised to see at least some pieces of mandalorian armor appearing within the first day or two of this going live. That is, assuming that there isn't some game stopping bug preventing this from occurring.

Oh, and 12-15 elite players doesn't mean anything at all if the wrong elite professions are taken in.

Saw how many people ran to do the corvette when it went live? Now imagine corevette as non-instanced. At peak times you're going to have a group per room, more than enough necessary to keep a room ( or couple rooms)cleared ( EQ raid style anyone???). A well guarded crafter shouldn't havemuch trouble getting down to the crafting rooms, during peak hours.
