Hey all,

I am starting a new journey this weekend. I have two characters, and I am going to make Delari my crafter, and my alt a killer. If there is a link that contains the information requested below, please post a link. I have searched, but can't find it.

I have my resource lists. I know how many of what items I need to make to master, but I don't know the minimum resources stats needed for each item to make the armor usable. Is there any information available that tells what resource stats to look for? I would like to be able to sell this armor (uber cheap) if I am going to do it, and not just sit down witha macroand turn out 1900 mabari chest plates.

Thank you in advance!

As far as resource stats go the two most often discussed are Overall Quality and Shock Resistance. These determine the resists. MA is a big one, this determines encumberance and may be just as important as OQ and SR in the future. Unit Toughness and Decay Resistance are also important as they decide the durability. If you're most interested in the business side of things, or how well your armor will sell, I'd concentrate on using or finding materials with resist potential (OQ & SR) then MA followed by UT & DR.

Thanks for the advice.

One more question. If money were not a huge issue, what stats should I look for on crafting stations, BE clothing, skill tapes, factories, and Harvestors. I realize that it will be a long time before I "need" nice toys, but I want to go ahead and start collecting them now. I also have 15 available lots to drop huge harvestors and generators.

sry for the double post. I will be glad when I can edit my stuff!

I will also be mastering Weaponsmith and artisan with 3044 Merchant, so I will need goodies for those profs too just in case any of you are weaponsmiths as well.

Thanks!

You are i n for a long grind. to make your stuff marketable you will need to use good resources and experiment on each piece. That experimentation will take up a lot more of your leveilng time. I would go for resources that have OQ and SR in the 500-799 range. Save the 800+ for when you have all 10(12) experimentation points.

I would not recommend mastering WS and AS at the same time. Pick one then do it. It's one thing to have your character be able to create the stuff. Its another to understand the crafting process and proper use of experimentation and enhancers to make excellent products.

You insane? Weapons and Armor? I get a headache just thinking about it, LOL. Too many resources and subcomponents to worry about.

I would personally pick up Tailor instead so you could make your own Synth Cloth and RFP's.

Like you said, sell your armor uber cheap on the bazaar (preferably Mos Eisley as thats where the noobs are). Look to see whats on the bazaar, if there are no Chitin Chest plates, make lots of those to sell. You're not going to become rich, but at least you won't bankrupt yourself getting to master.

I would get to Personal Armor 1 (1-0-0-0), then go up the techniques track all the way (1-0-0-4). Then go back and finish the PA track.

I've posted many times that I didn't grind all the way to master.

If you focus your early efforts on getting good resources for Ubese armor, all you need to do is grind to 3/0/0/4. At that point, if your resources are up to snuff your Ubese will look pretty good. You may want to have a master make a advanced segment schematic w/ kinetic layers for you, as you won't be able to do that yourself until 4/1/0/4.

From there, I opened up shop, and spent the rest of my time looking for composite resources and building up skill tapes. The dayI mastered, I was making quality composite with 11 points, and a customer and resource base, and wasn't broke or in debt.
