Thread: Make FS crafting XP quality based

Tell me if I'm wrong but I think we're all going to be paying 10X as much for resources now. The easy availability of third party afk crafting software is going to kill the resource market for people who are trying to actually make things. The wealthier grinders are vacum every resource vendor clean and then use their illegal software to AFK grind while asleep at work and at school.

I'm not sure if it could be changed now, but in my opinion FS xp should have been strictly quality based. The stats, amazing successes while experimenting and the number of customers who wear your armor at any given time should have been taken into account. The way it is now, the route to jedi or crafting mastery is just another mindless grind. One that's going to eat up every available resource and make everything more expensive.

Yeah, what ever happened to factory and usage XP? If there was any even remotely reasonable rate of usage XP I would feel like I was getting closer to FS just by playing the game, specifically making damn nice armor.

I received usage xpfrom mabari chests during my grind, but that was many moons ago. I have no ideaif it is still in the game. I guess we'll find out soon enough I hope it is. It makes much more sense for an established smith to get usage xp off of their fine wares.

I know artisan usage xp is still in, as I made alot of artisan clothing. Then I switched to tailored clothing, and was still gaining artisan xp. I gained enough to cap out on at 50k. This was april/may time frame.

Vote for back factory XP !!!!!! May be as different type of crafter XP but give me it back! I'm real crafter and dont waste time and resourses for grind, and use hand craft only for creating shematics!

How does that make you areal crafter, that you only do factory runs? Many people would say, that a real crafter is someone who DOES do hand made suits. Can't exactly do factory runs of padded armor ( not if you want variety in colors). I had no trouble selling various colors of ubese as well. Before they brought in the ability for the client to change the colors of composite ( whichI supported), I handcrafted all my comp suits too. Yes, factory runs are CHEAPER to do, and can provide more quality in stats. I charged more for handcrafted ( to cover the much higher fail rate), but people were willing to pay it. I sold my handcrafted first, then my factory run stuff.

It just annoys me to see someone say only those who run armor in factories are real crafters. Hand crafting saved me a buttload of factory time, since only layers and segments needed to be factory run. At the time, with only one account, and needing to run harvestors, factory time was precious. Now I have 2 accounts and can run 8 factories, while having 10 harvestors running too. Am I now more of a "real crafter" since I can now do more factory runs? I still hand make all my maberi suits ( factory segs though, they have really high fail rate), and my padded.

Factory run is just smart and wise . Hand craft only for rare things....
