no such thing as 90% base layers segs

if you want to know what to use to get a high base so it can be sliced to 90% that is a different story

I know I'm not that dumb....

I meanstats on theLayers and Segments are you using to achieve your 70% base, unsliced etc...

Post what you use to achieve your 90% base layers and segments here!

Still kinda struggling....I think its my Kiirium and medeocre Crism when I try to use stun...

Also will 4% kinetic on a layer produce 80% Kin?, Current Kinetic Layer-last time I tried- was 4base, 4kin....

Please, please post here on what you have to say and what you are using...Thanks much!

Do Kinetic Layers that are 4 base 4 Kin still make 80?

4% base will make 69% Base on the final combine. And 4% kineticshould hit 80% with three layers in composite.

Call me a dink, one star me, or flame away. I don't really care. You keep postingasking how to make the best layers, segments and armor. Please O please, as i've said before, take some time to learn the craft! There is so much that goes into armorcrafting that no one person can answer your question. Thing is, all the answers you get from us are probably right! You have to take the time and learn your resources, learn how each experimentation row impacts each type of armor and so forth.

My advice...start off making some unlayered gloves. Track the math...meaning write down what the resulting base is and the resulting special.

From there ... start again and add a layer of your choosing. Again ...do the math and track the results.

From there you will have a much better understanding of layering and the math behind it.

I can't stress enough, I would love to help but you have to be willing to learn as well.

Sincerely Govo

Yes and no. Sure, if it gets an effect slice, it'll be great. But what if it doesn't? With kinetic at 80%, people get a guarantee. Many people don't see that there's much difference between 80 and 90. This way, if you get an encumberance slice, you can always sell it to someone who PvE's and cares about ham. It's just a way of hedging bets. I've made it with cold layers too, since very very little in the game hits with cold ( andI had plenty of outstanding cold layer resources). *shrug*.

4% base layers won't make 69% final base automatic. It depends on the quality of your segment and final combine resources.

4%+ base on layers is a sure fire way to maximum base % on final combine.

There's no question TalynMox is aware of thisso I assume he means his resources will make the 69% base (and that makes megreen with envy):

Yah, forgot to mention that - my bad *blush*. The smithy I run was started at launch (original owners both retired ), so we've had a looong time to collect some pretty spiffy resources. But even with decent resources I don't think hitting 67% is unreasonable, I'll need to try it out with some of the more recent stuff and see what comes out of the mix. Will get back to you with the results
