Its all there in the schematic for yah ![]()
Heres how it works..
Say you have a Gorgy Chestplate (theoretical item)
It says it needs:
20 units of innert petrochem
100 units of hide
100 units of metal
100 units of bone..
On the right side of the box (armor description) it will list down toward the bottom what "traits" the recipe cares about.. for each "stat" of the armor.. (durability 1, durability 2, Overall quality and Special Resistance) for my example..
I say durability 1 requires 50% overall quality and 50% unit toughness, and durability 2 requires 50% overall quality and 50% malleability, while special resistance requires 33% unit toughness, 33% overall quality and 33% shock resistance, and overall quality requires 33% overall quality and 67% malleability.
What i need to do to choose the BEST set of materials possible is match up (on every item going into the armor) those traits.. .for my example EVERY stat of armor needs overall quality.. so i want that at max i can get on everything going into the armor.. then the next most important thing is gonna be malleability (it affects 2 boxes) follow this on down the line..
Ithe more units of a resource that a schematic calls for.. the mor eimportant that resources traits are gonna be in the final outcome (10 units of junk innert petro out of 500 units total for a breastplat isn't going to make or break you... UNLESS that is the ONLY place in the schematic where the specific trait is called for. from my example above.. i am only asking for shock resistance in 1 spot.. so clearly i want as much shock resistance as possible in every slot in the schematic.
Moral of the story.. look at your materials and your schematics closely and you will craft some great items!
- OQ- This is 50% of all scores and is most important
- SR
- Mall
- UT
- Decay
As a loose rule, 1500 combined between OQ and the any other stat is the number to shoot for, but it varies by AS.
For some schematics we require specific resources. Those resources are:
- Lokian Leathery Hide
- Rori Animal Bones
- Dantooine Animal Bones
- Yavinian Leathery Hide
- Yavinian Wooly Hide
None of these are needed for Composite, but if you find an AS that makes other armor types, they will need these. Composite makers are always looking for high quality wooly hide.
This list does not include the Wookiee armors. I will check those schematics and edit this if I need to.

Kash Black Mountain chest - Endor Decidous, Lether hide, Naboo wooly, copper, polly
Kash Ceremonial Chest - wood, leather, wooly, copper, poly, wookie pillows
Kash hunting Chest - Dath Evergreen, Lok Leather, Tat Wooly hide, mythra copper, polymer
Padded chest - lok leather, scaley, Corelia Fiberplast, wooly
