Thread: Question on resources

First of all, I'm not an armorsmith but I am an entrepreneur. I have been out there looking to mine some resources to sell to the many armorsmiths, weaponsmiths, etc..out there. My question to the armorsmith community is what qualities are you looking for in your resources? For example, I have come across a high concentration of Beyrellius Copper (for Comp Armor) but the quality is average at best (most traits in the 500-600 range) yet I see a sea of harvesters in the area. Am I missing something? I know for weapons most weaponsmiths look for OQ and conductivity but what do armorsmiths find appealing? Thanks for the info and sorry if this a basic question. I'm not very knowedgable about artisans in general.

OQ is most important, followed by Shock Res and Malleability, with Unit Toughness a nice bonus. As for all the harvesters on the copper, for those special resources we need, it's better to have a stockpile of mediocre stuff than none at all. Who knows when it will spawn next.

when making a CDEF pistol, you need chemical and metal...the expirmental stuff says 100% conductivity, so i got some 950 OQ metal, but then I go to get chemical and chemical doesnt have conductivity on it, if it doesnt have conductivity does that mean it just goes off the OQ instead?

If it sais 100% conductivity you will get the best results if Conductivity = 1000

The overall quality will not matter if it sais 100% Conductivity

If a resource doesn't have a stat they will count as the average you use.

If you use 1000 conductivity metal the chemical will count as 1000 conductivity.

If yo uuse 1 conductivity metal the chemical will count as 1 conductivity.

I'm an architect who has debated dropping. but if i do...i want to sell resources. so i was curious as to how many weaponsmiths buy resources as opposed to surveying their own. and if so, which resources should i try to sell?

i harvest my own becasue for the good weapons they ALL require insanely varied resources i have been looking for 3 weeks to get all my resources set up im about 3/4 of the way there lol so the main reson we harvest our own is the fact that they vary so much but if your looking to figure out wut we look for go to allakazams site wierd spelling and look at the schems for WS hope that helps

Ya there are some different things like desh copper that most people who just look at the stats wouldnt know that it was good... desh copper around 370 unit toughness is going to be close to the best the server has ever seen. People who want to grind up weaponsmith fast look for skevron and Hydron-3 gas since it is needed in crafting a high xp item. High quality copper of course is needed with high OQ and CD.

So if you know what resources to look for you can make some good money selling to weaponsmiths.

I always harvest my own, because it usually only costs me about 1/4 credit per unit to pull my own resources.

Chances are, if you wanna get more than that for your resources, you're better off selling them on the Bazaar in small stacks. Newbies know nothing about cost vs. effectiveness, so they'll buy just about anything.

Check swgcraft.com schematics and forums there is a ws resource list on the swgcraft forums i think whit all the resources needed with the max lvl of them. so compare your list with those

And i harvest any good stuff or buy the good older stuff
