Thread: Has anyone ever failed a RIS component build?

I am just collecting a few more resources before I complete my RIS armor build.
The amount of money I have spent getting everything together raises a question in my mind:
What if I get a failure and lose my components?
Has anyone had to bare this lose before?

I failed on making the final piece (boots) for my quest piece....it hurt dearly.

I have had 2 failures on final peices and 3 on segs and yes you do lose the components

2 crit fails on assemblies
and 4 failures on experimentations
also a "success" not great or amazing.
This is with full skill mods and research center +drink etc
and not one RIS piece effect sliced yet.
It is an expensive hobby lol they like to make it tough

I did got 2x critical fail on my first chestplate was very upset about it because it contained 3x 20% NS layer what did was 2,5mil a layer 
stil got 75%Kinetic and 80% base out it. base deu tha fact the segment already was on 66% bevore experimenting and fase to final is +17% zo hitt 80% without any experiment in to base but 2x critical fail on the kinetic
als got 1 times an assembly fail on a helmet .... costed me a scale.... but still happy costumer :S

Just as I thought.
Thanks for sharing what must have been painful memories.

One note on the Interwoven Schematic...
If you crit fail the "assembly" of one of your segments, you lose the materials, but fortunately, you do not lose a charge on the schematic 
Might be common knowledge to most...just thought I'd toss it into the discussion

I carried all my items with me so i wouldn't have to return and of course crit failed on the boots. Oh but lucky me I had a spare scalewith me.
Crit fail again. WTH
Yup 4 mil down the drain.

Ihad a disconnect as i was typing my brand onto an 80/80 chest. I logged back in to no crafting window and all of my subcomponents/resources for the piece poofed.I still get all huffy when I think about that.
