Thread: Armorcrafting Questions
Ok a couple of questions. I have done a lot of reading but I still seek some confirmations/answers
1a. If I add a stun Layer to Composite it will put it to special as I understand. So I assume you can never get Stun to effect. in composite?
1b. And if I then get the piece sliced and get an Effectiveness slice. I understand this will only raise whats under effectiveness never what is under Special. So there is no way to raise the special rating after crafting?
3. If I use Krayt Scales and all of the above is true. It would make it all unslicable on effectiveness as everything is under vunerablility (in case of stun) or Special (all the rest). Can you then still get an eff slice with no effect or does it automatically make the slice an encumbrance slice?
4. If I use enhancers that lower the hams (Nightsister Shards) or only boost the Base eff (Jinta Hide?) will the effectiveness still be sliceable (In other words is only eff sliceable on armor or everything that is enhanced?)
5a. I hear of the new Geonosian loot. Amongt these are Cubes. Can these be used in armorcrafting and if so are they used as segments or enhancers? I have heard that Yellow cubes boost Base Eff and Green boost Integrity. Please correct me if I am wrong on this.
5b. If they are usable in armor do they drop per piece or serveral at once? (because of the same serial requirement in Segments I would need cubes with similair serials I assume)
6. For a factory run. How many attempts at the blueprint do you make on average? best of 5?
7a. For a factory run, what amounts for the prints are possible? and if I for instance have a print for 100 pieces butr want 78. do I HAVE to make 100 and put components for a hundred in the factory before it will start. or will it just start and stop when it runs out of components?
7b. These 78. How will these be devided in crates? can I choose that and are all crates 50 pieces? or will it make 1 crate of 50 and one of 28 or 1 of 50 and 28 loose ones?
2. correct.
3. Krayt scales don't put everything in special protections, only most. You could still get eff slices, just on whats left, it dosen't become a encum slice.
7. make the schamtic for 1000 and put in enough to limit production to what you want.
gotta go to class, i'm sure others will answer the rest.
layers i make as many as it takes to get my desired results. i've spent hrs trying to get the right layers.
most of the time it takes alot to get 1/1 3% base energy layers or 2/2 3% base layers.

About the Krayt not throwing all to special. is what it DOES throw there then random?

So there is no way to raise the special rating after crafting? Correct. Slicing only raises effectiveness. Only way to raise, Special Protections is during experimentation when crafting.

I could be wrong though...

Whatever is in the Effectiveness category will be raised with an effectiveness slice.

The factory will stop once it runs out of resources. If you only want78 out of the schematic, then put in enough resources to make 78. You can remove the schematic from the factory and re-use it when you want to make more.

Some items are crated at 25, some at 50, some at 100. It will not create loose items. The difference will be made into a new crate. So 50 in 1st crate, 28 in the second crate.

Interwoven RIS (and Bone possibly) require a power CUBE looted from the caves. Can be used to raise base effectivness if you choose right.

You'll need to have matching serial cubes if making segements in a factory (which isn't needed for either bone nor RIS armors)
