Thread: Is there a alternative way to grind then Mabari chest plates??

Chest plates, it is highly recommended that you also make your segments in a factory. To make enough Mabari to make master you will need:
1822 chest plates, which are made from roughly:
150,000 metal
119,000 fiberplast
73,000 hides
46,000 inert petrochem
5466 synthetic cloth, which is made from:
88,000 fiberplast and 22,000 inert petrochem.
It is damn near impossible on my server to get 70k hides.
I need a way to grind AS w/out hides.

i am grinding mabari chest plates now. its so much faster then ubess shirts and armor upgrade kits. you don't need good hide, just alot of it. have someone hunt them for you or do it yourself.

You can grind armor upgrade kits up to PSG 1 and then grind PSG components. But that is slow. The Mabari CP gives much more xp per item. People like to grind ubese armor shirts when you get to PA3, they also use no hides.

Armor upgrade kits are the most tedious but are the most easy-resource-required items. They take chem and metal. Takes a long time but dosen't need hide.

technically....you can grind whatever you want. Mabari is just the fastest. get to PA3 and do Ubese shirts IMO. I had a macro set up for 10 of em at a time.....perfectly timed and everything...that translated to 1260 xp per minute.

Join a guild and go on guild hunts for Rancors. Ask if they can donate the hide and you will get 70k in no time..... And you will also make a TON of $$. This game was designed to require people to work together, so if you just don't want to be involved with others to help then 70k is A LOT of hide to gather on your own and will take a long time.

Or you can gather 10k hides, and just grind up to PA3 (ubese shirts). You can easily gather 10k hides straight off the bazaar.

getting hides off rancors on dath is a great way to go. they are all over the place near the sarlacc POI. the enraged bull rancors drop 300+ units each. even the smaller rancors like rancor youth drop 80+ each.
you can get in excess of 10k hide every two hours out there....

2 scouts + 1 (xp hungry) commando + lok, gurk missions = 15k leathery hide an hour.
I also gave out free 49% ubese to guild members in exchange for hide. Making enough synthetic cloth was my problem.

I also have a very reliable synth cloth vendor if you need one.
Im just a holosmith myself but, I have to agree with the folks here, mabari is the fastest way to go once you get the resources.

Personaly what I have found to work well was grind MC untill PA3 then do the ubese shirts, I tryed to grind the armor upgrade kits but that drove me nuts, it would have taken forever. Also about geting hide, rancor groups are the way to go like everyone says thats what I do and I harvested so much of it, belive that I got like 10k for doing it for like an hour.
