I recently made master armorsmith and quickly dispelled many allusion I had of it. Below or my concerns in question form.
1.what are the sockets for?
2. why cant a master armorsmith make a repair tool for armor better than a master artisan?
3. what is a general rule for making armor, as in whats the best qualities ot look for in resources and the final armor?
4. why cant a master armorsmith make a repair tool for armor better than a master artisan?
5. whats generally good prices for the armor types, say an average grind? What would be considered an average grind?
6. why cant a master armorsmith make a repair tool for armor better than a master artisan?

Repair is just borked, period. Sockets allow you to put armor attachments in armor. OQ and SR effect resists, MALL effects encumbrence, and UT effects condition. There isn't really a general rule as such, just get the best resources you can and make stuff. Prices are server depandant.

regarding 2,4, and 6...
That is completely and utterly illogical is it not? is it not the same dilemma for weapon repair as well.
Is there a fix forrthcoming or must we bend over and just take it?

Armor attachments are loot drops that give various stat boosts. They are dropped, not made, and the stats are random.

Why is it illogical? As armorsmiths we make armor, not tools. Artisan make tools. Think of the artisan as the "Toolsmith".

it is illogical in the fact that armorsmith cannot repair armor better than anyone else. After all, they are the ones that make it and know everything about it.
Do you take your car to a guy who makes wrenches or someone certified from the MAKER to work on the car? Some even take the car to the DEALER or "manufacturer." Also, you cannot make a tool to repair something without first knowing in depth details about what you are trying to make the tool for.
The fact that they make it difficult to repair by having a third-party (ie, the artisan) make a tool is dumbfounding. An armorsmith can make the repair tool but not as good as one who knows little about the armor. Its absolutely preposterous.
