On most of the composite armor I have seen they advertise it for 80% Kenetic and 70% electric specials at a base of about 60%.

1. 75% specail is = to 90% base Right?

2. Why do they all have electricty as a secondary special?

3. I am not into PvP so I was thinking of a low HAM cost composite suit with a special of 80% Kenetic and a base of 75% is that right?

4.The armor suits of composit listed in the first sentance cost about 500-550k is that over priced? I know galaxies differ but is this about right or am I getting scammed?

5. Why would nayone want UIbese armor when you have composite armor?

6. I was thinking of becoming an armorer myself jsut to see what its like any tips on that?

Thanks in advance ofr your assistance.

Gonna answer these out of order to explain things a little better.

1) No. special protection pretty much boils do to what gets a stat boost if you get an effectiveness slice. There's a more detailed explanation in the armor guide, but that's about it as far as you're concerned.

2) Composite's special protection is electricity. There for all Composite suits will have that listed.. Like Ubese is Kinetic, Padded is blast, Bone is energy.

5) You'd want Ubese if you PvE mostly and want low HAM cost armor. Average Ubese I'd guess is about 71% kinetic resist. Which in 99% of the damage types that creatures do. So it's good for PvEers. Some smiths can get that to 80%, with excellent resources.

3) See #5, Ubese, for PvE is probably your best choice. It's low HAM and has a high kinetic. Low HAM 80% kinetic is almost and an oxymoron, to get 80% kinetic we have to add layers, adding layers bumps up the HAM. A 12 point smith with excellent resources, can keep the HAM reasonable, but it'll still be the highest HAM armor out there..

4) Hard to say as each server is different. My main server, Naritus I sell my adv composite suits for 120k (57/51), but on my secondary server, Intrepid, I see suits of lower quality going for 400k. Finally found a good smith that had a suit for about 200k that was good. My advice is to hit every vendor and every planet to make sure you're getting the best price.

6) No tips really, you can check out the FAQ/Guide stickied at the top for info on becoming an armorsmith. Only tip I can suggest, is don't try to become a millionaire the day after you hit Master Just take your time, visit some other smiths and check their prices, also make friends with other smiths.. You can compete and help each other at the same time

"low HAM" composite dosen't really exist, unless the smith tries hard for that. Composite is heavy armor that offers high all around protection, so it has to have some drawbacks.
Special protecion dosen't actually have an effect on the resist, its just a different catagory that can't be increased with a slice. 80% to something and then 75% base means lots of layers, a suit like that will basicly require buffs to wear, it will be very high HAM cost, not low. Prices are server dependant, but that would be very high protection armor. Ubese is used when only fighting critters, as its special protection is kineiic and the othere resists are usually much lower, ubese also has much lower HAM costs than composite. Armorsmith is a long grind, nothing sells until master basicly, as people (you included) want the best and usually will not want to buy what a non-master is selling. Its not really something you can dabble in.
