Thread: Exceptional armor, the alternative.

Last night I did a test with the now working Rancor Padded Armor Segments. I had a couple of theese from about a month back with theese stats:
Rancor padded Armor Segment (Exceptional) x5
Base Effectiveness: 60%
Integrity: 5525
Health Encumbrance: 3
Action Encumbrance: 11
Mind Encumbrance: 12
Heat Effectiveness: 68%
Cold Effectiveness: 23%
Which led to this final assembly. The armor started at 68% base unexperimented, used 6 points to max base to 80% then put the rest into special (which probably wasn't the brightest idea?). Still got 1 segment left, for perhaps a pair of boots, but out of great lokian leather at this time.
The resources used and their most relevant stats:
Lokian Leathery - Escachre - OQ885 SR833 MA589
Scaley Hide - Lodihe - OQ808 SR791 MA142
Corellia Fiberplast - Aswodis - OQ978 SR138 MA305
Metal - Carbehor - OQ973 SR910 MA577
Polymer - Iloi - OQ908 SR917 MA837
Wooly Hide - Piloglow - OQ958 SR897 MA906
And 4 of the segments mentioned above.
This post is not really meant as a bragingpost or anything, it was more of a way to tell the community that composite isn't always everything. Even though padded is the worst pain to make and requires exceptional segments to get exceptional stats. I also 'accidentaly' seem to have posted the padded palette, so no more questions about that in a while I hope?
Anyone else willing to tell of their experiences with non-composite/non-ubese? Perhaps superb chitin? Consider this thread a place to dump your information!

I've got some fairly good voritor segments that I want to be made into some Bone armor, I mean, its probably the second best looking armor in the game!

LOL!
I picked up about 20 of those on the bazzar for 350 credits each a while ago. Because I'm Master Artisan and Bone Armor is ruled by the artisan profession, I figure I can make some pretty decent Bone Armor. (note: "decent" as it applies to Bone Armor isn't quite up to par as compaired to other armors 
)
