Really...it's Ubese people, can't go wrong. And for you pricks that say that only composite armor can have 80%K, YOU ARE WRONG! I saw it with my own eyes, non sliced ubese with 80%K, it's just pretty hard for you guys to make I guess, but easier for compo...anyway, thought this post would be it to finally enlighten you that Ubese can very well have 80%

...and there was much rejoicing....or something like that :/

I dont know anyone who says comp is better than ubese when it comes to PvE and kenetic. its pretty common knowlage on my server that if you are hunting creatures you use ubese. the only time comp is considered is for NPC hunting and PvP. i even enclude it in my emails and afk meassage at times

the real benefit is in the fact you can't slice special protection.....

composite is good all-around as electricity is the only special protection and not very many weapons use that type of dmg

as for kinetic, chitin is also really good, not as effective, but also not NEARLY as high ham costs

i have a set of 60% kinetic- 20% base with ham costs of around 250-275

The problem is resources...I know on Kauri we have not had a spawn of Neutronium Steel in months. Its getting to the point where Advanced Ubese Armor demands higher prices than Advanced Composite.

I dunno...I'd say my 90% composite suit is better vs kinetic than your 80% kinetic ubese

80% kinetic layered composite is better than ubese for afewsimple reasons ...

1) It almost always has roughly twice the condition of ubese.

2) Chest and bicep hit locations are on seperate pieces or armour, reducing the frequency at which armour repairs are required.

3) Composite has decent resists across the board, allowing you to use it for a mixture of situations not just grinding xp from creatures.

4) Composite is a more efficient use of resources.

5) You can change the colour of your composite whenever you like

As a previous post eluded to; it's all about the resources..... The are certain servers that do not have the resources to allow 80% kinetic ubese to be made but the resources for good composite could be readily available. So since it's a supply demand issue it is very possible for ubese to cost more than composite on a particular server. There is no question that composite is better armor... just look at the final stats in the base portection.... but it comes at the price of encumberance. For a server that has the resources for both to be made at high quality it simply comes down to what you can afford. In my opinion a top notch Ubese suit should sell for close to 1/3 to 1/2of a top notch composite suit. This is because Ubese will wear out faster and it doens't offer anywhere near the same base percentages. Not to brag, because these aren't fantastic stats, but the ubese I stock is 72-74kin with 19-21base. So the base is roughly 1/3 of it's unsliced comp counterpart but the HAM is going to be anywhere form 1/3 to 1/2 lower for the suit. For folks who can't afford to drop 1 million credits to buy a 80%kin comp suit, or for those who don't PvP, 1 mill is a waste of money when they could get all the protection the need to PvE for 275-400k. Also, how many people who are casual players of this game can afford to spend 2 or 3 million to purchase enough armor to garauntee a composite suit that is all effect slice or all encumberance sliced?? Just some thoughts to ponder... but i think for you to call folks pricks is a little off base because it sounds like it is just an issue of misinformation not malice... folks here on the boards have know that 80% kinetic ubese is possible for A LONG TIME, you are not ENLIGHTENING us with anythign new.
