Thread: maybe a dumb question, but...

Weapons have a damage range, and abilty shots can enhance that.

Yet there is no variation in our damage. If I use advanced sniper shot, I do the same amount of damage for every hit. (Just an example, all attacks are like this)

Has anyone looked to see how much of a factor the damage range actually is? Say if a rifle does 500-1000 damage and that boils down to 750 dmg every hit, does a 550-1100 damage rifle do 775 dmg every hit? Is it still 750? Or is it done in increments? (ie, 500-1000 = 750dmg, 551-1101 = 775 dmg).

Anyone taken a hard look at this?

Yes, an attack will always do the same damage when used on the same target.
Factored in are:
- targets ranged defense compared to attackers ranged accuracy
- min and max damage of the weapon used
- elemental damage of the weapon used (probably broke currently)
- damage modifier of the attack used
- armor rating of target

But the formula does not have any random elements post-CU, it is deterministic.

Ok, forgive me if this has already been covered. I have been away from SWG for a little over a month. I have had a full suit of BH armor for a very long time, since the DWB first hit live servers. I was looking at it today and I noticed that it has a new option in the radial menu that I have never seen. The option is "deconstruct." I am just wondering what this does. My pre-cu BH armor is one of my prized possesions in the game so i dont want to mess it up. Just curious though.

All pre-Cu stuff was converted to 'crafted BH armor' so that ti would stay wearable. Choosing that option converts the piece to the non-wearable component needed to craft the corresponding mandalorian schematic in the DW bunker. Once you convert it to non-wearble (this is what BS npcs drop now), it is permanently changed.

Schematics from the new craftable Bh armor drop from bounty marks now. The armor crafted from this is wearable, but not convertible/usable to make Mandalorian schematics.
