Thread: Any surveying advice to be given?

Hi, everyone. I'm working on building a good stock of quality resources for smithing armor. My smith character is master artisan already. However, I would like some tips on surveying and mining resources.

Today, I was looking for a good spot of Siliclastic Ore on Tatooine. I looked in 4 distant areas around the planet, and the highest concentration was about 48%. Is it common for resources to have low concentrations? Or do I need to keep looking?

Also, how would you recommend setting up harvesters? I've already taken the plunge for a BER14 fusion-ion generator for power and materials for Muon Gold for my smuggler, but should I get a large number of harvesters, say 5 of each, and then just put down harvesters on what I can find? Or should I stick with a low number of each? I plan on sticking with the BER13 jobs.

Any advice on the subject of surveying and gathering resources in general would be highly welcomed and appreciated. Thanks!

LOL, I have my harvestors down on a 70% spot for that resource, so I would say keep looking.

In general, any type of ore will be found in lower concentrations...48% sounds close to the average. I don't think I've ever seen an ore % higher than 60.

For a fairly complete listing of current resources, check www.swgcraft.com.

I recommend placing all your harvs on a single resource spawn, and rotate to another after a few days.
