I'm thinking we should do this.Refuese to makeRIS. I mean what is the point anyways? Some of us are wasting millions on stuff that just isn't fixed and from recent comments by the Devs, its going to be genuinely gimped.

After reading several threads on the TC forum, it just really irked me enough to write this one. What do you think?

Ok here's my suggestions for it:

1) Make it much more available. Still a quest, but much more lax resource requirements. Make the quest difficult but not insane, but the final schematics are easier to produce. In order for this to happen, I think the stats should be along the lines of Composite. Perhaps Special of Kinetic, and vulnerability to Acid.

2) Again keep the quest,make it harder than in(1), keep the resource requirements, but make RIS Medium armor, and good resists. Perhaps if its Medium, it could still have the Acid/Stun vulnerabilities, as long as we could layer it.

3) Go ahead and make it uber. Godlike armor (medium, high resists), but near impossible quest (almost that way anyways). Perhaps change quest from what it is now to something else.

Well at first i started collecting the materials and got a few shematics but after i found out the stats of the armor i decieded not to waste me time. I think the only real reason people want it is because it is kewl to do so, but i chose not to bother with it a long time ago

lol, whats the point of boycotting something that gets one piece made every month or so on an entire server`?

Yeah really, I had no intention of making it before cause of the rediculas resource requirements, but then add it the stupid spawn crap you need, the critical fails and the whole been there since before launch stat shifting and I'm never making a suit. RIS is a joke, just a waste of a friday feature. Maybe weaponsmiths SHOULD have gotten it, it does us armorsmiths no good.

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Look, I know its rare enough anyways, but if peopleformallyrefuse to even pursue it, even casually... maybe the Devs would listen. Its kind of a gay idea, but obviously they haven't been listening to us on it so far...

I mean what are we gonna do, tell them to "Fix RIS" for the 9000th time?

I don't think you got my point. Most of us have no CHOICE but to not make the armor lol. But anyway I see your purpose and agree totally. I was lucky to finish the quest when it first went live. However it bugs me that I did all that preparation beforehand just to get useless schematics....

I have no choice either. I have one gurk king hide. I haven't even made the dang layer yet. I've never seen a peko albatross, and I've killed probably 8 or 9 harrowers and couldnt get a bone fragment. Haven't even thought about the GDK.

All that for armor that is vulnerable to Acid and Stun, and needs a rare loot to put 3 layers in? No thanks. Who at SOE thought this was a good idea?

Dont know about you but my friend bennym just got sweet RIS helm like 94%to all and 66% to stun,i think thats worth getting. Cost him about 300k to be made and he got all the pieces himself.
