I have made 2 ris armor helmets this last week and neither one of the covered acid or stun resist. This is PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!! It takes alot of time and effort to get the materials to make it, and I can still make better composite than this JUNK they gave us saying how great it was gonna be. I think the DEV's need to go see a protcologist just to find their heads if they think this is considered good armor.

Um, I'm not an Armorsmith, but from everything I've ever heard about RIS, it's NOT considered good armor.

It's trophy armor. Only good for looks, and oohing and ahhing at.

The whole point of RIS is that it's such a pain in the ass to make, that anyone with a full suit has spent a lot of time, money, and favors to get/make it. Therefore, they get a nifty decoration for their home, or something to draw attention while walking through a starport, or something.

Gotta admit, though, the helmet does look pretty cool. Wouldn't use it for fighting/hunting anything, but it's pretty nifty to look at.

Doesn't it have shifting stats?

Just wait a day or take shuttle trips till it has the resists you want. (Not that they will stay afterwards)

No it does not shift stats, and yes it is vulnerable to acid and stun... so put a Krayt Scale in it to fill that hole.

Unless they nerf composite, RIS will never be anything more than a trophy piece.

First complete RIS set made for myself on Aug 1, 2004 with stats of approx 75% Kinetic/4% Stun/5% Acid/65% Base/vuln to Lightsaber. (unsliced)

Im not sure i would want to fill up those vulnerabilities since that would cause the armor to decay much faster when it gets hit.

If you actually use it for combat (which is NOT recommended) I would rather have the armor decay than my life... heh

People don't seem to understand that the reason this armor is not as good as composite it because it is bugged. If they ever fix the no vuln bug then PSG's Tantel and RIS armor might be worth having around. I have made 80% effectiveness RIS pieces with half the encum of a composite piece that has less resist. There is no other armor that (assuming they fix the bug) can have 90% resist to stun after slice, RIS can. Also for those of you who make a helmet and missed the news ONLY Human's, Zabrak and Twi'Lek can wear the helmet due to the art department not drawing the support for the other races which to my understanding is also a bug.

soo simple collect your stuff and just wait it will be fixed.. yea i know it sucks but your armorer will also be able to find really good quality reasorces to use in it,, and make you much better armor,, also give you time to fine some really nice tissue enhancments,, dont cry about the wait, use it to your advantage. I dont know anyone that has a full suit of non bugged RIS with uber reasorces,, its cuase it doesnt exist... yet

heres mine.. yes the stats arnt as great as my composite armor.. yes I wear it as 'trophy armor'... yes I like the 'ooohh aaaahh' factor.. no I dont like explaning how I got it/where I got it.. lol
