Thread: SAY NO TO CRAFTING NERF!
I think you are wrong in your thinking, but right in saying it should be stopped. It should be stopped until they fix the stat generation for Named resources required in schematics.
Otherwise, it seems that it not only makes sense to increase the relliance on high quality resources, but to also make Master Crafted items more desirable than non-Master items.
If the Dev's are looking for an economy fix, then they need to find a way to include non-Masters in the economy, through items that will sell, but are appropriate for their skill level.
Everyone, like in the Weaponsmith forum, should sign the petition...

You don't seem to understand what is happening in the Publish. They are not merely adding dependence on higher-quality resources or masteries. EVEN THE MASTERS HAVE REJECTED THIS, and it has been thoroughly tested on TC since it was made available. No one who has tested it likes it, and only a few misinformed people that don't understand what it REALLY does are in any way looking forward to it.
Master items are already MUCH more desirable than Novice ones. The capped stats in named resources are TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT ALREADY. Go to the Dev Tracker, read for yourself. And then read what the crafters say, the ones who know what this "fix" will break.
Please post at the link I posted at the top of this thread--that is the one the devs are monitoring.

The devs have "explained" the crafting nerf as something that is intended to fix the economy, despite the hundreds of posts giving concrete reason of how it will do the opposite.
This nerf will effectively render useless all new crafters and even masters without 12 experimentation points, by making it take far more experimentation points to max a crafting attribute than it currently does. This means ALL multi-line items will soon be clones, and much, much worse versions than the items possible now. It also means that the prices on the myriad pre-nerf items will skyrocket to unbelievable heights.
Speak out against this game-breaking idea! Believe it or not, the devs ARE monitoring the thread for feedback!!!

no i totatly disagree, i havent spent thousands of hours gathering the best resorces, surveying making thousandsof items, with thousands of different things to see what works best so some little punk with a ohhh lets make 10 million selling armor using stuff that i would think twice about making walls..
Yes there should be a big difference in someone that has been a master and crafting for 8 months than some newbie that just hoped on the band wagon...
Im all for this change..
Je'Cy Dax.. first armorer on naboo Radiant
And I, for one, won't buy your post patch armor suit with just one line of experimentation maxed out. I will buy the prenerf suit. You know, the one that has the same resists as the one you just made, only ham cost is about 30% lower. What you fail to understand, is that nobody wants to buy a post patch crafted item. I'm not a crafter, I'm a combat profession. I take part in the GCW, and to do that, I have to have the best equipment available to me, because I know my opponent will. Why would I ever buy a post patch, inferior product, when another smith stocked up on pre-patch items that are of a much higher quality? This patch is a patch nobody wants. Crafters don't want another pre-nerf economy, and customers don't want to buy inferior products.
I say NOOOOOOO
This will totally kill my character on Lowca he is Master Artisan, Master Armorsmith and Master Merchant..
Why Nerf as u all agree post-nerf items will skyrocket in price and will not keep the economy on track this is redicoulus just to have this as an explantion damn u DEVS if u make this live.
And how about all the people that want to start a crafting profession they will have no chance of selling anything since Master crafted items will become SO MUCH more desirable and probably higher priced then they are today.
No thanks to crafting-nerf
