Thread: 2 Armor question: Decay and Color

Decay: I've a BH armor pants which was made a month ago andi noticed that it has only 15k condition of 40k. Pants seem to attract most of the damage in a suit. You can repair it, often with minimal effects if done before reaching 50% condition. Aska Smith to do it for youfor better results.because he probably has better tools.(thanks JediSpam)
Let me tell you that i didn't go to grind at all in it, i hunted a couple of times(like 5-6) and i made some bh missions(15-20) and i never went to any bunker/cave/lab in it(DW, Geno etc.). First, did you slice it to improve it's decay resistance? Second, 30 missions and a 20% success rate on your Jedi's might yield over 1 mill credits in fee income - more than enough to buy new pants. Also, you still have an easy 30 missions &5 Jedi hunts left in those pants. Personally, I recommend my customers invest in a Jedi only hunting suit, and a separate NPC, PVE suit; and then there's a whole slew of customization to look at for each of these solutions.
Of course i know that every AS are happy that the armors will bedestroyed faster then preCU, but the decay rate leads everybody to buy him/herself 7-9 ADK to put on his armor and not to be fear about they loosing their sliced, high quality attachmented armor pieces! So my question: Will be a chance that the Devs will lower the decay rate of the armors in the close future? Just 1-2 ADKs, with 1on the pants mightextend length the life of a well sliced, carefully maintained suit for quite a long time. Sorry, but there are other bugs/issues occuring at the moment that will probably cause most Armorsmiths to be indifferent to your concerns about decay. Nothing against you or your complaint.
Color: one of the best thing was in preCU with the composite armors that they could be colorized by the players. Although there wasn't any good armor except the comp which had good defense. But the costum colorization gave the chance to the players to "play" with their armor such as making a "uniform" for their guild in fights or in RP events. So my question: Will be a chance that the Devs replace the colorization of the armors by common players(not the crafter AS)? I would love to see both A) player adjustablecolors and B) color bugs fixed. No word on when they might be addressed, and both are on the plate of "suggestions" to the Dev's.

I have a little diffierent take on the concerns you have than Fluid does. You are correct that decay is too fast. Decay is calculated the same as pre-cu which is determined by how much damage is NOT absorbed by the armor. With the old 80% resist suits that was very little. Now with them being only about 50%, the decay rate is very high. Grinders are using up a suit in a week and you are right that a casual use of armor over less than a month should not have to be replaced. I don't want it as slow as it was before, because this IS our business, but a tweak in the ratio would be acceptable. It IS something our correspondents have brought up with the devs.
Coloring is a tough subject. The radial on comp was a result of a bug and they used that as a fix. We have some factory coloring issues now, and many people are pushing for coloring kits (not a radial menu) to be made. Personally, I don't want them to use it as an excuse to leave the factories broken. It's something that is being debated by the community right now. We understand that for the customer that would be great, but we are still deciding if it will negatively affect armorsmiths who can't make the top of the line stuff and make up for that with customized suits. Of course, we haven't had ANY feedback from the devs as to what they think on the issue.

Although i made 15-20 bh mission, but i don't wanna spend all of my money for buying new armors and slice them on every week if i'll help ingrind/taking missions often. I can understand that you get money from making-selling armors, but IMHO this is not working as intented!
