I recently purchased 2 ubese bracers that are broken, but has nice mods, and whenever I wear them with my composite armor, I take a lot of damage to my health bar. Do they just create armor holes or make me take more damage?

If the bracers aren't there, hits don't land there (or the damage is redirected) ... you have bracers, so take the hits there, and the damage goes right through from those hits.

I wonder if 0/0 armor can be repaired to 1/1and then ADK'ed...
But like was said, if your bracers are 30% kinetic you will take alot more health damage (because the bracer is available as a hit location).

^ doubt that could happen...everytime I repair 0 condition armor (out of boredom, I know it's a dead piece), I usually end up with negative condition.

negative condition armor is lots of fun, I once repaired a piece of armor over and over until it was something horid, like -100% resists or something bad like that.
You might try an ADK on something that gets a failed repair, which gives you 1/1. Would be a good test, but I don't have any I can spare atm to test it out.
