Thread: RIS Armor Certification ?

Fellow Armorsmiths and AS Correspondent:
My apologies if this has been asked/answered by our illustrious Armorsmith Correspondent ora Developer previously. But I have yet to be able to find any definitive answer to the following: Will the "Epic" RIS armor, which requiresa craploadof time, collection of dozens of ultra-rare named resources, max crafted layers and the rarest loot drops in the gameto construct, require an armor certification to even be worn by its crafter ??? If so, this would be a MAJOR slap in the face to all of us who havecompleted the arduous RIS quest, spent MONTHS crafting the armor and have been doing so for about 9-12 months now.
I know MANY armorsmiths (as well as just ambitious players) that have invested MILLIONS of credits/each collecting rares, schematics, resources, etc. to complete suits of RIS for their own use. If the armor cert. is required to even wear/don the armor, it effectively negatesour pastyear's work!!! I have personally crafted about 20 full sets of RIS on Chilastra and have kept 6 and a few odd pieces for myself. Will these RIS suits/pieces now be useless to me with only Master Armorsmith/Master Merchant/Master Marksman skills??? If the armor certification requirement for RISgoes live,can we all saymajor hose job/nerf to all Armorsmiths !?! 
Can Okram (or a dev) just answer this please once and for all ?
MANY players who will not be certified under the new armor certification system (for Assault Armor) and who have spent MANY MANY months assembling this "Epic Armor" (and I use the term loosley), will be screwed. I'd like to know if I should start dumping all my RIS or drop AS altogether and go with a combat profession now before the CU hits.
Please advise.

My personal opinion is that a crafter, AS or WS should be certified for any of the products they can craft. That doesn't mean a WS should say get any actual combat skills to go with it, just a certification so that they can show off their merchandise. Anyways that's probably just me. I also have a custom RIS suit I've been working on and am a little concerned about the "conversion" that will take place and who will even be able to wear it. I'd hope that extreme armor like RIS would be unique in it's ability to be certified by anyone but then that might make it the same way Comp armor is now. I just don't know how their gonna work this conversion but ultimately I'm sure someone will end up getting the shaft.
