Thread: Question about pre CU padded belts

I want to know if anyone else has done this. A while before the CU I had made some padded armor belts with some acklay hides. Other than players who wanted extremely high conditioned padded armor, I had no use for the hides until I discovered they made pretty good padded belts. Of course belts offered no protection but it was a pet project of mine to make a few. I handcrafted 4 belts, all of which were around 10% resists with 4 sockets.

Recently another guildie pointed a long time player my direction about helping him get a preCU belt. Now, the belts converted to 15,000 condition and still have their 4 sockets and aren't restricted by armor certifications. If I'm not mistaken this has greatly upped their value. I was wondering if anyone has sold them, used them (in the sense of dropping CA or AAs in them and what type do they take now,) and if they've been sold, what would the approximate value be in your opinion?

I feel like I'm sitting on a small goldmine with these belts if they have the potential that I feel they do but I craft for friends, guild and a small loyal client base, not mass production like some. If I sell them I'd obviously like to get full value for them, but I will probably give them to friends to help them get the best equipment.

Any helpful replies are most appreciated

The good thing about those is, that Jedi can wear them.
You can fit AA's into them and I usually pay 500k for them, you could get more though too.

They'd get bored as hell doing that after a while, and then I'd be through with having conversations for the rest of my life."

Thanks for the reply. I had forgotten that jedi too can wear them. Regardless of the price I could get for them I was planning on letting my friends use them (unless something comes up and I need some money.)

Knowing jedi can wear them increases their value to me. In my gameplay, I prefer to use items like this to benefit me and my friends over making a profit. I definitely get to keep an eye out now for the occasional awkward AA that seems to benefit only a certain few professions, such as preCU unarmed AA's. I dont know for sure, but if Jedi AA's ever drop, I will be greatly interested and maybe get away with a good deal since I have something to drop them in!

I may sell one if the right price comes across my desk, but more than likely I will suprise friends with them if something ever comes up that they can be used for.

They are going for 5mill easy. They will go up more in price as the rarity increases!
