im looking for some help and/or opinions on crafting RIS. the first run i had was 7018 kinetic.
i then tried using all energy layers and final result on the armor was 6630 energy.
do u all use energy layers on your RIS and what kind of stats r u getting? is there a max resist for RIS armor i should shoot for?
i generally use the best or near best resources possible, although a few in these runs were less than that.
anything else i could do to enhance my energy resists other than the absolute best resources?
thanks for your help

I only use primus layers in RIS because using kinetic or energy layers essentially gives you the same resists as unlayered assault or recon armor at a much higher price. You can get to 6500 energy and kinetic protection fairly easy if you've got really good resources.
Want to enhance energy resistance? Give 'em a PSG (warning: not for use against lightsabers).

I have done an all energy RIS build for a BH customer who had master carbs and MBH and so could not wear recon. The cap for energy layered battle is 7200 energy. I got to 7165, but my resources are server best and Farstar has had some good energy layer resources.
The only thing to enhance your energy resists is to make sure you are hitting the unlayered battle cap with your segment/core resources and get the best energy layer resources you can.
Pyke is right on regarding primus, that is the most popular RIS build I get asked for.
