Thread: Cheap grind armor not selling..
If you have 5 locations and are not selling you are doing something wrong.
Name recognition? If people know you and know your wares, and know that you are good, they will come to you, and you won't have to have 5 shops, you will have enough sales from 1-2 spots to keep you busy
Reliability? How well do you stay stocked?
grind armor? is it crap? what are the stats?
advertising? you hitting trade forums? you hitting the starports?
if you have a guild that is decent sized and believes in you, you should have no problem selling to 40-50 people. ALso player cities can be better than the cnet/theed/bestine over saturated spots
need more info

My normal quality armor sells very well, so it shouldn't be that.. I don't do much ingame advertising, some on the trade boards.. everyone sells normal armor, I am betting no one knows you sell cheap stuff. If you want sales advertise in game and on boards.
That might be why, actually, since the bargain quality armor is targeted at newer players and they probably don't frequent the boards - I think I will get that droid outmost players that do use the boards know a friend or guildmate that is newer or needs cheap armor, don't abandon completely
Reliability -> I recently came back from a crafting break and had to restock everything from scratch. My vendors have been empty for almost a month. maybe the entire problem there
Stats -> No, it's not crap exactly, the Chitin was 6304/4305/5304 with more than 45k condition and the other types has similar stats.
To reiterate, I have no problem selling capped armor (even though I've been out of business for some time I sell some.. 30-40 suits per week, sometimes a lot more than that.) but the cheap variety just doesn't move..
where is your shop? if it isn't on tat, you might not do well with grind armor, I think all noobs start on tat now a days
looks like there are many things contributing. Also armor isn't as usefull as it used to be, people would rather pay more for better armor. Even noobs can afford it if they pawn off their barc or other stuff

(e) Newer and poorer players should jump at the opportunity to get relatively cheap armor for grinding - I sell my regular capped unlayered for 400k and this bargain quality armor for 200k.
I don't think there's a lot of newer players. I could be wrong, just not a lot of TRUE noobs, or maybe I just haven't stumbled upon them recently. All lower lvls are either from another server or an unlocked alt.
I don't think there's a lot of poorer players either...everyone seems to be rich, well if not rich at least well off enough to buy capped unlayered for 400k, and if they are poor atm it's because they've spent all their money on armor, weapons or SEAs.
