Thread: Padded Armor Segments... Decent Protection Target?
I've tried drinking one just before hitting the run button and only a few times gotten better than "great success" from it.
900 is not bad for your first attempt. Many servers seem to be short of armor so I think there will defintely be a market for your product. You'll want to shoot for 940-960 as you improve your resources.
Haven't used Bespin much after the CU so I can't offer you much guidance there. You seem to be using it correctly.

Bespin port has a long duration, but I believe the effects wear off as soon as you actually run an experiment. So it seems you still need to take a swig for every experiment you perform.
correct, and it fills up the belly pretty quick too at which point you need to wait for it to "digest" til you can use it again.
/wishes there was also an experimentation food / assembly drink as well
I too just managed to gather all my resources and pump out a set of padded. I was getting my segments to 915. I had good core resources (except naboo bristley which was in the yellow) and ended up at 5636 on my final armor, which I don't think is too shabby for a first fun, starting from scratch. That might give you an idea at where you are at.
The bespin port will last for five minutes or until you experiment...whichever comes first. the above posters are right that you have to take a swig each time you experiment. Kind of a pain, but not to big a deal.
Great replys, thank you all.
Wondering.. Is there still some type of food that helps "empty" your stomache?
Another thing im wondering... why is it that I have seen all types of crafters aprons and tool belts for just about every crafter except armorsmiths?
And what's with the Bonuses to assembly? Can you actually fail at doing something like adding hide into the schematic or something?
After looking all day for the 5 meterials I needed for the primus layers I got gank by 11 rebels at the Imp outpost on talus. It was really fun. Damm rebs , anyways i get back with my new toys to see what I can do. I crafted 1 scout bracer from scratch. I added 4 layers to each seg. They came out to 1049. I then crafted the cores which I forget the total cause I had the bug an figured the layers didnt work right. Without looking at the core I went to work on the bracer , I then noticed my only hide I had left was 106 points less that what the % called for. So I threw it toghter anyways an was shocked to see the base was above 6500. I am a 12 point so I exp like a as knows how to do an came up with a total of 6996 rest on energy an 5900, the rest of the way down. I was pleased in knowing that i can now reach above 7k. I plan on trying some more when server comes up.
Is there a cap of 7200 even for a 12 point armorsmith ? Its sounds right but I know i dam sure would like to try an beat 7200 ..

900's on the segs if you have the same good resources for the adv. cores can net you a range of at least(large margin) 5000-5600 on your final product. With some uberish stuff you never know. But hey don't listen to the crowd. a 5000+ suit is still good and should not be sneezed at. I sell plenty, escpecially in battle armor since for some reason people don't like to make it as much. (probably because the Nabooian Bristley they make us use is absilute poo right now.)
Was playing with my resources last nigh was hitting 5700's on assault and almost 5500 on battle, damn you crap bristley DAMN YOU!
