I am trying to learn as much as I can about Tantel armor. I like the look and the fact that it has no vulnerabilities. I believe that in the combat rebalance/upgrade/makeover that other armor types will become more common. That said:
What can enhance tantel?
Can you use Acklay hide in Tantel?
Are there only a few pieces of Tantel armor? (Helm, chest and legsI haveread).
What would I wear to compliment Tantel? (Ubese boots, etc..)
What colors can you get it in? (Is there a posted color matrix somehwere?)
Are base enhancers the best to use in Tantel?
Can you only use geo cubes in the interwoven bone & RIS? Can you use cubes in Tantel?
Any insigts would be appreciated. I have done some searches onTantel armor, and found many interesting pieces of information, but I still have questions.
Thanks in advance for your help.

No

Helm, Chest, Boots
What would I wear to compliment Tantel? (Ubese boots, etc..)
Some comp gloves (have to see if a 4 piece tantel set workd sometime)

Not very many - lots of brown etc...
Are base enhancers the best to use in Tantel?
Yes - up the base and it will up everything but energy

No

Thanks!
What about Janta Hides?
Can any segment be used? I saw some that were pretty high to base, but had other odd resists.
Thanks again!

Janta hides are bease enhancers, so will work well. Your best bet is to get an exceptional nightsister layer and a good janta or rancor hide to maximize the tantel base.

Yes you can but it will put the three listed (heat, acid, cold i believe?) into special protection. The sharnaff, again if they are the ones im thinking of have no extra base % on them and therefore will not raise base % any. But. This is ok on Tantel since they will move up when you move up base in the final combine, but they will not be able to be moved up if the piece gets an effectiveness slice, as only base effectivenss gets raised. However, if you are looking at this from the standpoint of post-CBalance, rumors abound that special protection will become just that, "special," with theories ranging from negation of armor piercing to: spec protection + base effectectiveness= total % for that dmage type.
I've put Sharnaff plates into Ubese with a stun layer beforethat came out55% Kin/ 26%acid/ 5%cold/ 6%heat/ 10%stunwith 20% base. The piece remained relatively light HAM-wise and ended up with no vulns. And when you think about it, no heat/cold/stun weapons have AP so therefore they would still block at least 50% dmg.on cold for example ((50% x DMG) x 5% )=(52.5% x DMG) If a Kinetic layer is used in this you might could even stretch it 70-80% with good materials and depending on what you wanted, HAM/base-wise, but you would lack the stun protection. So if you wanted a light HAM PvE armorSharnaff+ Kin layer Ubese might be more in-line.
But i have not tested Tantel yet because i dont have good 'sources for it so i don't know what's possible with it. A prob i could forsee i think someone mentioned earlier is Energy. To get good bases, ie protection from everything but energy, on Tantel you would have to neglect Energy. Or you could use something like this http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=144957.
Hope this helps, and that all my info is correct!

Go here for the color matrix... tantel has some decent color schemes. (not as good as padded though)...
