i just realized that shipwrights have tons of schematics.

as SOE stated the wanna connect professions to each other, i am wondering.

shouldnt we armorsmith make one or another component needed by starships?

hull platings, or shield generators?

weaponsmiths are supposed to make weapons, like starship weapons?

in my opinion damn starships are way to easy to make, lol.

and to few other crafting types are involved.

just my 2 cents

While I agree that they should look to peoplea little more, I -am- glad, actually, that one of the major people they look to are droid engineers. DE's are one of the groups that've gotten overlooked a lot lately, and it's nice to see them getting a little bit of attention.

Besides -- and please correct me if I'm wrong, as I haven't hit master yet -- the only class we NEED ourselves is tailors, isn't it? Synth cloth, fiber panels and the like? I don't think we're dependent on anyone else... so the few schematics/crates we need from a tailor is really no different than the few schems that a SW needs. They want us to need other classes... not be held hostage by 'em. ^_^

I was trying to figure out why we don't make the armor plating or something along those lines.

My best understanding is that crafters make far too much in factories than originally planned. The original schematic limit was 100, if you remember. This was to slow down crafters, and prevent a domination of the market.

If it's any consolation to you, SW have to craft almost everything by hand.

If this is a sign of the future, then WS and AS will be, too.

we need artisan and tailor, thats ok i think

starship crafting should be very complex, no single person should be able to handle it.

hull design should be made be shipwrights

weapons should be made be weaponsmiths

electronics should be made by droid engineers

armor should be made by armorsmiths.

and the shipwrights know how to put all these together.

I heard that in beta it was gone over many times but it is pretty much too late now and defiantly not going to change systems after it's already been launched.

Same reason we don't get a crafter's apron.
