Thread: Highest possible resists on unsliced composite?

I always thought that it was in the 'hood of 70%, not accounting for special protection layers (which are capped at 80%).
But now I see some dude claiming that he has a suit of 90% composite, all encumbrance sliced.
Is this possible?

Hishest unslcied on my server by a 12 pointer is 72% base.

80% is cap before the item is sliced.
As far as that guy saying 90% then got an encum slice, 1 of3 things happend.
1) It could be a VERY VERY old piece of krayt comp before the caps were in place (back in the old days you could hit 100%)
2) Its double sliced and he should not be braging about it
3) Hes full of Bantha Poo doo 
80% cap special 80% cap eff. 90% cap after sliceing on eff.
