With the recent downturn in armor sales I've become rather bored, so I decided to play around with some good old fashioned chitin.

I enhanced the segs with voritor scales and (4,5,8%) and came out with 69% kin on the gloves/arms, 70% on the legs/helm/boots and a whopping 74% on the chestplate (lol amazing assembly... why cant I do that on my stun layers? :*()

HAMS are pretty high though (383/382/461).

Anybody else ever make uber chitin?

I get 61% with very good resources (ie. no added segments or specials)

Aubai (Merchant / Master Swordsman)

Emissive Armors
Corellia (Coronet) /way -420 -5470 Resources / Crystals / Loot vendor
Naboo (Theed) at enRon [ -3795 4955 ] Wookie / Ubese / Composite and Sliced Armor

My base without the scales is 65-66%... i must have been cursed by the slice goods... yet another perfectly good suit ruined by high eff slices.... and then I go an get a suit of stun comp sliced and I get all encumb... TANJ

Quick question: Did you go the factory route for your enhanced segments, or did you do them all by hand, since Chitin only requires "similar" segments?

In fact, the whole "similar" segment requirement for chitin has me curious ... what if you used different enhancers for different segments? How would the final construction turn out?

I may have to do some testing, or if anyone else has done so, could they share their results.

all by hand I had a backpack full of misc voritor scales i bought off the bazaar for like 500cr each lol. Most were 3/4 some 5% and a few were 7-8% kin.

burned alot of them on failed experiments even with port and cake though

Seems that the devs have really changed experimentation.

I'd be willing to by something like that for my Rodian Armorsmith. Chitin is another of the cool armors rarely used because of the lack of good stats. What's the base for all of that?

I do regularly chitin armor and my max kin is 72% done with 6%kin scales.

I didn't knew there was 8%kin scales.
