Its 1:11AM where I am. I have been reading the forums yet again. Theres what, 3 seeks left in testing, roughly? Lets get out collective $#%^ together and do some work here folks. Instead of worrying about what is happening right this very second, lets look at the big picture. As Zion would say, "the CURB is coming". Lay down and die? NO. Fight for the old system? NO. Get yer asses on TC and test the crap out of it and produce some fact based arguements against the problems we are encountering? YES!!!!!!
Has anyone seen Brutus_Krylop's post? Holy snot!!! What a well reasoned piece of ART!!! What happened? Organic resources were halved. Is it a direct result? I have no bloody clue because I am not a dev. Does it look like a direct result? HELL YES!!! This should be yer template in thinking and reporting. Enough of the nay saying. Thats easy. Enough of the we're screwed. Thats easy. Pull yer heads from betwixt yer asscheeks and help us. If you are not of the caliber to do all the experimenting and reporting on yer own, like me, find someone who needs something tested.
I'll tell ya for a fact, I have two MAS on TC that are going to build me armor and I'm gonna kill it as fast as I can. Why? To see how armor decays. Then they are going to make me armor and I'm going to see what the percentage damage differential is between basic core and advanced core on a dewback. Then I'm going to take some basic, standard and advanced of the best they can make and, with no buffs, I'm going to see how high I can solo the MOBs in SWG. Why am I going to do all these things? BECAUSE I WANT THE CURB TO WORK PROPERLY. And someone, lord knows who, saw that it might be a good idea to hold an open BETA.
Forgive me for not posting my usual, balanced, non-accusative posts but even I have finally had enough. Okram is right. The last thing we should do is lie down and die over the changes. Zion is right in that we need to get our $#%^ together. Every AS I have spoken with in between is right, lets get some information to the DEVs. Information by definition is something usaable. PISSING AND MOANING is unsusable. It mocks the idea of an open Beta. It is intimated in the act of launching an open Beta that the DEVs want feedback from us.
God I'm tired. Flame, don't flame, I couldn't care less. I will be too busy testing to see this again. I have ranted and I am now set to begin the last 3 weeks of this with a renewed vigour. I am out to make this the best damn game I can. Why? Because the DEVs asked by holding an open Beta.

Another thing they could do with the resources in the layers is to take out the named carbonate and siliclastic ores, and the named gemstones since named resources were not in the layers prior to the cu

When this goes live i might not be able to make a kinetic layer.

I agree with your comments regarding the mechanics of armor in the CU. Let's get numbers and figure it out. But you can't present numbers on things such as the impact of 1 line experimentation or the amount of named resources, etc. There are some issues that you just have to discuss in concept and for some reason those types of issues seem to be the hardest to get across.

Biseks I got your email and will be on sometime tonight and will work with you to get the armor ready you are looking for as best I can. I'm guessing you want it a few different ways to see just how much damage it takes off the top too.

As i have mentioned in other posts, there are 2 lines of experimentation at least in segments and cores (i think there's one line in layers and skins). Condition and Resists.
One of the things to do would be to test how fast the condition wears out, and maybe suggest to the Devs that they make it easier to wear out a piece of armor, that way the Condition bar might have more importance. I would test it out, but i have been having a lot of problems downloading Testcenter so i haven't been able to get on it
