to paraphrase an answer given in the HoC yesterday regarding holsters, sheaths and scabbards as I find it equally applicable to both your questions...."No"

They probably won't open the position up until after the CU goes lives for the same reason they removed okram as our corr. We didn't have much hope of getting fixed before the CU hits, now all hope is gone.

honest answer i doubt it, and to the 2nd question if those who want to pay 700k to 500k for some expensive clothes by all means they can. Fact is as the AS profession in Test is FUBAR and its very doubtful it will change significantly to warrant any sort of praise.

My personal feeling, no one should take the position. Leave it vacant and let SOE wonder why everyone refuses the job.

i agree with niborg, nobody should step in, and ideally all the other corr's should quit and leave them with the message "Good luck on fixing your curb now"

Not having a correspondant is one sure way to make sure AS concerns are not heard. We need someone up there now. I think they should reinstate him (if he would still do it) at least until the CU rolls out.

Or better yet, we can try to vote on a correspondent before the position is even made available. Unfortunately (for you) I would nominate you for your great work to date on the CU.

Thanks but no thanks. I want nothing to do with the job. My only desire was to help others as well as our correspondant so issues could be fixed.
After this I'm having serious thoughts of canceling all 4 of my accounts.
