This game without jedi, is like a woman without a, well u know, that thing that goes meow.
annoying, nagging, drains your wallet and time, no gettin off. Ok, now this was all a joke so u ladies out there calm down. U can say the same bout men im sure. Sorry had to vent my frustrations thru humor. I have been searching for the BH/smuggler for days with no success, it reminds me of EQ, and my brain is fried.

With the posibilities of being banned or even having my account banned from game;
To quote my favourite quote, this CU is "having the grace, and agility of a dazed, pregent Cow."
It has some good parts, some good ideas, Some new things, Ok cool. We can deal with those. It also has some awkward stuff, some bad ideas, and some ovious parts that are just not working. You can goto any forum to hear it, you can hear it in spatial, you can hear it amoung guild chat.
This wasn't a combat upgrade, It was and is a game overhaul. It's like saying the grafics suck on my computer, instead of getting a new video card, let's get a whole new machine.
I Think we've all mentioned this, We need the resources to be reasonable. In order for it to be reasonable, the mobs need to be reasonable for the Scouts. The whole level concept works great in games like EverQuest, But we're not EQ. We are not in permament classes, we can switch anytime. One of my friends switches classes more times then underwear.
As a High end armorsmith, Low end crafter, how am I to get faction points for the faction armor? Run around for 2 to 3 weeks doing delevery missions? you have bio linking, have a quest for us like you do for pilots. where you can only obtain faction armor after completing those quests. Allow for groupings with it.
ok, we can experiment on layers, we can experiment on segs, we can experiment on cores , for protections. Not bad. all I need for factory is segs and cores ( because I am shot for layers for now) and I can mass grind armor once I hit appearance. Boring as all heck, might as well play spider solitar.
cores decaying? So after kicking us, we gotta be kicked when we're down as well. Alot of us carry our supplies around ( How many of us crafters are walking warehouses? I for one) Hope it's just a bug.
Cailie no hard feelins to ya, you kind of knew what you were getting into. So far giving you codos for trying. Like I said, I'm impressed that Blixtev is ACTUALY posting. I do hope he/she does read the posts and threads, I do hope they have gamed and see what kind Combat upgrade unbalanceit is so far.
Alot of those who are quiting, they are quiting because they put X amount of dollars into a game/month. and in return they expect a certain level of quality. Probalby, if we weren't all paying for this, We'd "might" buy this CU for the way it stands. But we're paying for it. Coming to business terms, they leave for a better product because they are nothappy with current product.
We need reasonable resources,
we need need a reasonable factory time,
we need the ability to get the faction points to get the faction armor,
Rangers and scouts need to be able to get exp for thier mark yet be able to harvest. ( hitting low level marks it's like a drop in the bucket)
We need to know if the segs and layers we had pre-cu are still useable, so far they don't look to be.
We need to be able to sell armor to the customer at reasonable prices yet able to obtain the sources. I don't think any of us are expecting quality sources all the time. but availability.
My two loonies.

It is really hard to continue the Armor smith profession now IMO. I mean I have spent almost 2 years collecting "teh ubah" resources and now I can't even make a layer. Where is our conversion like armor? Why did we have to start over? Did weaponsmith get such a hard knock going from making any weapon to not being able to craft a component for it?

I haven't spent two years like you, I've been at this sence oct, dec, been collecting as I went along. My sales ok, sold bone armor, Mabari, and chitin well. even though I didn't have the experimentation points and layers. I got order right after the CU, due to the Certification issue it's a good idea. most RPG have one. If we had static profs, ya, this CU would work, but we don't we have Dynamic profs.
I used to pass along free armor to guildies (because they would and haved me along the way,) but now I might have to start charging :/ My goal as AS wasn't to be a a get rich quick, Mine was to make afordable armor with good stats. Or give some of the other armor smith on my server a friendly compition
The whole idea of making something other then composite, that was solved by certs. Resource demand would have also been met due to certs. ok, change some of the metals to hide. we could deal with that. Have a "resource that is in big demand" on a less threating planet. My rating is 5 for combat right now. Ilive on dant. unbuffed and un armored I aMon Calimariappatizer, just add Tzaiziki sauce and a lemon. when I was buffed, and composite armor'd with my average suit ( one I kept around forharvestor / survey runs I had kin 65, everything else in the 50's.) I was able to take on hurrtons and kunga oneon one with hit n run tactics. I went to daithmire once to do a survey on my own, I was incapped with 2 hits. 4 if I was running. If I was to do anything on dathmir would have huntables there, not a mine able. Gives the scouts/ rangers a challange, something up for the high levels, and if the mineables were on say dant, or talus for med/hard planet, we we could "avoid" things, yet still have the mobs running around or say like what happens to be ALOT on dant is they "gaurd" a harvestor.
On a nice note; I don't have to save up on experimentation ca anymore. Sucks to be those that bought theirs :/
though for an AS it's almost like a right of passage to get 12pt.
