If boots have no stats, why do we need cert to wear them?
As a dancer, I love the colors they come in vs. what a tailor can do, so these have become the fav footwear of many entertainers. But I don't understand the need for cert if they offer no armor protection.
Anyone help out on this please.
Thanks

Any idea why we need cert to wear these as Entertainers, if they offer no protection?

All armor is certed by combat profession, at this time, regardless of stats.
(this too, may change)

The armorsmiths all asked this same question. THe best response we got, was because trandoshians couldnt wear boots. Not sure if this is the final official answer though. All I can tell you, is that if you have the old stuff, hold onto em, they are like gold. The old stuff has sockets and normally a condition 24k to 45k depending on the type of armor. Thats a whole lot better than the new stuff.

I agree about the sockets but condition doesn't matter. They can't be hit in combat, and loss upon dying is a percentage, so if it has 100 cond or 25154 doesn't matter, it'll go to 0 in 100 insured deaths.
Too bad pre-CU armor crates don't give any sockets when you pull glove/boots out of them though, or I'd have thousands of pre-nerfs. ![]()
