Stupid thing won't go into the slot... it is the right feather, just seems to be bugged... any ideas?

I thought the feathers went into feathered appearance enhancers that go into the skin of armors and and some +health to the armor.

It goes into the Feathered appearance, it doesn't list any stats, but adds a large amount of condition, the R.I.S. I just made with them had 105k condition on them, so I am guessing its around a 50k condition boost.

i am getting 102k condition without the feather..i have over 50 feathers currently..not one works...so i am guess only the post-cu feathers will work..can we get a clarification on this??

Feathered Appearances dont do a single thing. Heh funny how blixtev was talking about how cool it is gonna be on test lol

I believe its supposed to add a +xx health bonus to the armour (not condition bonus), but as of yet I have yet to be able to make one that works, with pre- or post- CU feathers. Several times they've claimed to fix these in patch notes, but I've yet to see one do what its supposed to. Guess I should try again later...

Pre-CU - Nothing
Post CU - +10 to health.

Clarification - I am trying to complete the RIS quest. Nothing else. And the feather is part of the schematic I need to go to the next stage. It just won't go into the slot and tells me it's not a valid ingredient... but it is.

I'm so glad we were able to give the RIS quest a good test in beta. /endsarcasm
So if I am understanding you correctly you talked to the NPC and he wants you to make a "RIS Layer" and gave you a schem for it. But the peko peko albatross feather won't go in it. If this is the case I suggest a /bug and wait.
