hi all, this was my 1st attempt at an RIS helm, I used a Krayt Scale and an NS layer for seg...turned out crazy Special protection

I think it looks cool, especially in different light

No need to flame man, R.I.S. Is still very hard to get and make, and stats dont matter to much cause you arent spossed to hunt with R.I.S.

Seems to be a good example of why Krayt Scales aren't used. Still an interesting experiment and worth while for the show piece, which seems to be the point.

And this is my 2nd attempt, made for a fellow guildy, way better stats

Used 4% Base NS layers and a 4% Janta Hide.

my last helm came out 79 kin / 56 base. Used 2 standard kinetic layers and 5% janta hide. I wish I had better rori wooly.

Yes akag, some of my resources aren't top quality, Tis the reason why I refuse to use the interwoven schem until i got best possible.

AS is all about experimenting with diff resources, and I'm happy my attempts are getting better rather than worse

A-Pex on Bria made my suit 65 base 80 Kin using Janta hide and no acklay seg.

I was pretty impressed.

yes , I would never usea Krayt scaleagain, this was just a test to see how things turned out throwing some odd materials in, it will go in my guild hall as part of our museum once I make myself a good set with the interwoven schem I have.

Nice job.

I would use krayt scales if RIS worked the same as comp with base/special protection, but since it doesn't it's kind of pointless to use them as it hurts more than helps. Though, it makes for an interesting looking piece. =)
