Thread: Is there any point to wearing RIS armor?

Besides showing off to people how cool you look. Is anyone in their right mind going to actually use the armor in battle? You can go through a chest plate in3 days.... Something really should be done about decay on an item that is so bloody expensive / rare. Same goes for Mandolin; sure they look cool and fancy, but no ones going to wear them in battles. *shrug*

All depends on the person.
My personal opinion is that if you have the armor you may as well wear it in combat, because at 0/10000 it'll look just as good.

I did one time in an unbuffed duel. It's amazing what a difference armor makes, when you're fighting someone who isn't wearing any!

depends on how you make it.
you can make RIS armor that is 80% kinetic and 0/0/0 HAM. Can you imagine hunting with absoluetly no encumberence?? Pretty nice. ALso add a good green geo cube in an interwoven schematic and you are looking at 62000 condition.
So yes, RIS can be good for hunting, pvp is another story.
